Project information

Background

Council has received numerous requests from parents of students attending Lindfield Learning Village for a pedestrian crossing to be installed on Grosvenor Road. Significant numbers of pedestrians have been observed to cross Grosvenor Road before and after school, with many of these being school students and their parents.

Proposed changes

A new raised pedestrian crossing is proposed on Grosvenor Road between Bent Street and Austral Avenue. The works would also include an upgrade of the street lighting to meet current standards for a pedestrian crossing, as shown in the concept plan below.

Note that if  constructed, this would require the relocation of the Australia Post mail-boxes to outside #65.  The proposed changes would result in the loss of 2 on-street parking spaces on the northern side of Grosvenor Road, and 2 spaces on the southern side.
