Destination Management Plan - Exhibition of Draft Plan

A statement of intent to manage a destination. It sets a shared vision and plan of action to grow the visitor economy and its contribution to local economic development.

The plan aims to grow visitation sustainably and consistent with community values, focusing on our natural features, heritage and village centres. Some survey respondents said tourism should not harm residential areas, and we have noted this.

Not yet. Some actions are already resourced, some build on existing programs and others need additional resourcing. Priorities will be reviewed each year.
