It's Council's main AFL facility, home to St Ives AFL Club since 1968. Lindfield Cricket Club also uses it over summer, and it's a popular spot for dog walking and passive recreation.
Bushland borders the oval on three sides. That brings extra planning and design considerations for any future works on the site.
That's still to be worked through. Field configuration, including the wicket, is one of the things the masterplan will look at, and community feedback will help inform it.

It's a concept plan that sets out the future direction for a site, including layout, facilities and how different areas will be used. It doesn't include detailed design or construction drawings; that comes later, once the masterplan is adopted and funding is secured for individual projects.
